Features
All the insight, none of the clutter
PlainAnalytics fits everything that matters onto one page and lets you dig deeper with a click. Here's what's inside.
Know where your visitors come from
Every visit is sorted into a channel — organic search, social, email, paid, referral or direct — and you can drill into individual sources, referring pages and UTM campaigns.
- Channels, sources, referrers and all five UTM parameters
- Ad click IDs recognised for paid search and social
- Click any source to filter the whole dashboard by it

See which pages earn their keep
Top pages, the pages people land on and the pages they leave from. Open the details view for pageviews, bounce rate, time on page and scroll depth for every URL.
- Entry and exit pages with bounce and exit rates
- Engaged time and scroll depth, measured without cookies
- Wildcard page filters like /blog/**

Locations and devices at a glance
A world map, countries, regions and cities, plus browsers, operating systems and screen sizes. Location comes from a one-off lookup of the IP address, which is then thrown away.
- Country, region and city breakdowns
- Browser and OS versions
- Mobile, tablet, laptop and desktop split

Goals that measure what matters
Turn any page visit, custom event or scroll milestone into a goal, then see unique conversions, totals and conversion rate. Outbound links, file downloads, form submissions and 404s can be tracked with a single switch.
- Pageview goals with wildcards, custom event goals and scroll-depth goals
- Revenue goals with total and average order value
- Filter the dashboard by a goal to see what drives it

Funnels show where people give up
Chain two to eight goals into a funnel and PlainAnalytics shows how many visitors reach each step, how many drop off, and the overall conversion rate.
- Built from the goals you already have
- Respects every dashboard filter and date range
- Spot the weakest step at a glance

Your own dimensions with custom properties
Send extra context with any event — the article's author, the plan someone picked, whether they're logged in — and break down your stats by it. You decide which properties are shown.
- Up to 30 properties per event
- Works with pageviews and custom events
- Filter by property values anywhere in the dashboard

A script you'll forget is there
About 2.5 KB gzipped with no dependencies. It loads asynchronously, sends a tiny JSON request per event, and handles single-page apps, hash routing and engagement time on its own.
Reports that come to you
A weekly report every Monday and a monthly one on the 1st, sent in your site's timezone, with top stats, sources and pages. Add alerts for sudden traffic spikes or drops, and choose who receives each.
