1. About these terms
These terms apply to your use of PlainAnalytics (“PlainAnalytics”, “we”, “us”) at https://plainwebanalytics.com, including the dashboard, tracking script and APIs (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to them. If you use PlainAnalytics on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you're authorised to accept these terms for it.
2. Your account
You must give accurate information when you sign up and keep your login details secure. You're responsible for activity under your account and for the people you invite to your team. Tell us promptly if you think your account has been compromised.
3. Plans
Access to this installation of PlainAnalytics is provided by its operator. Any fees are agreed separately.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service on websites you don't own or aren't authorised to measure;
- send personal data (such as names, email addresses or user IDs) in event names, URLs or custom properties;
- attempt to identify individual visitors, or combine PlainAnalytics data with other data to do so;
- overload, probe or disrupt the Service, or get around usage limits or security features;
- use the Service for anything unlawful.
We may suspend accounts that break these rules, after warning you where reasonable.
5. Your data
You own the analytics data collected for your sites and your account content. You give us permission to store and process it only to provide and improve the Service. When it comes to your sites' analytics data, we act as your processor and handle it as described in our data policy and privacy policy. You can export your data at any time, and it is deleted when you delete the site or your account.
You're responsible for your own websites' compliance, including telling your visitors that you use analytics in your own privacy notice.
6. Availability and changes
We work hard to keep PlainAnalytics fast and available but can't promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may improve, change or remove features over time; if we make a change that significantly reduces what a paid plan includes, we'll let you know in advance.
7. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud. Otherwise, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profits, revenue or data, and our total liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid us in that period.
8. Ending the agreement
You can stop using PlainAnalytics and delete your account at any time. We may end or suspend your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, or if we stop offering the Service — in which case we'll give you reasonable notice and a chance to export your data.
9. General
We may update these terms; if a change is significant we'll notify you by email at least 30 days before it applies. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you have a question, email hello@plainwebanalytics.com.
